Prospecting playbooks

Prompts that help you research, pause, and decide

These guided examples are starting points. Adapt purpose, region, sources, channel, and review policy before using them with real people.

Prompt cards for respectful prospecting workflows

A useful playbook does more than produce text. It makes the task falsifiable, shows why a prospect fits, names uncertainty, and tells the operator exactly where external action must stop for review.

Three guided playbooks

Founder: test a niche

Prompt: Find ten B2B companies in the selected geography that match these criteria and show two recent public signals. Exclude agencies and existing customers. Identify a likely operations leader, label uncertain identity, and draft a short agent-prepared draft. Do not send.

Review: Validate account fit, source dates, role, exclusions, and whether the signal is appropriate to mention.

SDR: prepare a focused list

Prompt: Research approved target accounts, identify relevant roles, and prepare one evidence-backed reason to contact each person. Check suppression and flag missing context. Draft a outreach draft and one follow-up, but require approval before every external action.

Review: Confirm relevance, tone, platform policy, pacing, opt-out, and ownership of replies.

Agency: isolate a client workflow

Prompt: Use only this client’s ICP, sources, credentials, suppression list, and approved channels. Produce a review queue with provenance and uncertainty. Do not export or send until the named client approver accepts each record and message.

Review: Check authorization, regional rules, separation, retention, and reporting definitions.

The bars explain sequence, not performance or completion statistics. A team can stop, revise, or reject at every stage.
